About SITI

Shanghai Immune Therapy Institute was approved by the Shanghai Municipal Government and jointly established by the Shanghai Municipal Government and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Oriented towards the strategy of "Healthy China", the Institute was led by Professor Dong Chen, an internationally renowned immunologist and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was inaugurated on April 29, 2021

Relying on Shanghai Jiao Tong University  School of Medicine(SJTUSM) and its affiliated Renji Hospital for systematic construction, the Institute integrated the disciplinary advantages and rich clinical resources of SJTUSM and Renji Hospital, deeply embedded in the overall development layout of the national laboratories in Zhangjiang and Lingang, and focused on the immunotherapy of tumour, chronic inflammatory diseases and transplantation immunity, infectious diseases and vaccines, and other key research and development directions and application areas, taking immunology-related basic and application research as the starting point. It strives to become a globally influential source of immune innovation, a  talent attraction and training base, and a world-class translational hub for immunology.
