He is a Distinguished Professor of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Honorary Professor of the University of Edinburgh, Committee Member of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology, Vice President of the Immune Cell Section in the Chinese Society for Cell Biology, Associate Editor of Frontiers in Immunology (T-cell Biology Section), Editorial Board Member of CMI (Cellular and Molecular Immunology) . Associate Editor of Frontiers in Immunology (T-cell Biology Section). He has published more than 70 papers in scientific journals including Nature Immunology, Immunity, J. Exp. Med., NAR, PNAS and BLOOD, and has been selected in a number of national talent programmes.
The ICS (Immune Cell Signaling) group led by Professor Lu focuses on the signalling and regulatory mechanisms during T cell development and differentiation. The laboratory studies the pathogenesis of autoimmune inflammation and autoimmune diseases, as well as the immune effector functions and regulatory mechanisms in anti-viral and anti-tumour immune responses.
