Currently serving as the director of Hematology Department of Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, he has been engaged in clinical and basic research on the blood system for more than 30 years, and has profound knowledge in the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of plasma cell diseases represented by multiple myeloma. He has presided over 10 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and presided over or participated as the main principal in 29 key projects and talent funds at the national, ministerial and Shanghai levels. He has published more than 240 papers, including 49 SCI papers. He has completed more than 30 international and domestic multicenter clinical research projects, and his research achievements have won 2 first prizes and 4 second prizes at the provincial and ministerial levels. He has participated in the formulation of 9 international guidelines and more than 20 domestic guidelines. He also serves as a member of the International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG), a standing committee member of the Hematology Committee of the Chinese Medical Association and the leader of the Plasma Cell Disease Group, and holds more than 10 academic positions as well as editorial board member of more than 10 domestic and international academic journals.
