Dr. Chen received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the School of Life Sciences, Fudan University, and received his PhD in Clinical Medicine from the University of Oxford Medical School, where he studied structural biology of tumour signaling and viruses under the supervision of Yvonne Jones and Dave Stuart, both of whom are Fellows of the Royal Society. Afterwards, he conducted research on tumour suppression in the laboratory of Yvonne Jones and at the Ludwig Institute of Oxford University under the supervision of Royal Society Fellow Xin Lu. He has now returned to China to join the Institute as the Head of the Medical Structural Biology Group.
Research Areas
Structural biology and computational biology research, the main research work includes: molecular biology, cell biology, structural biology, computational biology, including a variety of tools to explore the mechanisms and methods of prevention and treatment of disease.
Research Direction

1. Analysing APL targeted therapeutic solutions from the perspective of structural biology.

2.Development of precise and broad-spectrum targeted anticancer solutions by combining Chinese and Western medicine.

3.Artificial Intelligence (AI) to calculate the structure of cancer drug targets to explore precise anti-cancer drugs.
